Cannes Lions 2016: India gets 29 shortlists across Direct, Glass, Print, Promo, Radio

O&M (4), JWT (4) Taproot (3), Dentsu Creative Impact (3), L&K (3), Leo Burnett (3), Bates (2), BBDO (2), Contract (2), McCann, Mindshare and Weber Shandwick in the race

Cannes Lions 2016: India gets 29 shortlists across Direct, Glass, Print, Promo, Radio

Indian entrants accounted for 29 of the over 400 shortlists announced across the Direct, Glass, Print and Publishing, Promo and Activation and Radio Lions, at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2016.

Direct Lions (4)
 
Ogilvy & Mather has two for 'Make Love Not Scars' for Beauty Tips by Reshma. 
 
BBDO's 'Dads Share The Load' for Ariel Matic and Leo Burnett's 'Memories for Life' for HDFC Life Insurance have also made the cut.
 
Glass Lions (4)
 
Ogilvy's 'Make Love Not Scars' for Beauty Tips by Reshma and BBDO's 'Dads Share The Load' for Ariel Matic have earned shortlists in this category.
 
Weber Shandwick's 'Daughters of Mother India' for Responsible Films and Mindshare's '6 Pack Band' for Brooke Bond Red Label Tea are also in the race for metal.
 
Promo & Activation (3)
 
Leo Burnett's 'V Bajaj' for Bajaj Automobiles has two shortlists in this category. 
 
Ogilvy & Mather has one for 'The Popcorn Story' for Breakthrough. 
 
Print and Publishing Lions (11)
 
McCann Worldgroup has a shortlist for its entry ‘Birthday’ for Dishatek Corporation’s Vaultek Biometric Safes.

J. Walter Thompson’s entry ‘Store-Prison’ for Godrej Security Services’ security cameras has been shortlisted. Other shortlists for the agency in this category are for Sleep Apnoea India, ‘Night Kills Day – 'Fisherwoman', 'Mechanic’ and ‘Milkman’.

Dentsu Creative Impact has three shortlists for work on Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Society of India, 'Wedding', ‘Football’ and ‘Cadet’. 
 
Taproot Dentsu’s work for Times Classifieds is in the race, as are the agency’s entries for IOAA 
 
‘Radio works best in outdoor’ and ‘Newspaper works best in outdoor’.
 
Radio Lions (7)
 
Three of the shortlists are for Law & Kenneth Saatchi & Saatchi, for work done on Thomas Cook. 
 
The entries shortlisted are 'Man', 'Woman' and 'Never too old'.
 
Bates CHI & Partners has two entries in the running. The work is titled 'Outdoor' and 'Bathroom' for Women's Safety.
 
Contract Advertising also has two shortlisted entries, both for Truecaller. The work entered is titled 'Nokia' and 'Apple'. 
 
Besides these, Ogilvy Singapore’s work for the Government of India (I&B) / The Life Foundation ‘In Her Womb There is a Door’ has also been shortlisted.
