Big night for O&M at AME 2010: Two golds, one silver and a bronze

O&M has won big at the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards held in Shanghai last night. The agency won two golds, one silver and one bronze while JWT has four bronzes.

O&M has won big at the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards held in Shanghai last night. The agency won two golds, one silver and one bronze while JWT has four bronzes.

Vodafone was the big winner for O&M on Thursday night, with The Vodafone Zoozoos winning the agency a gold in two categories- Most effective use of advertising and Most effective use of Interactive Marketing. In the second category, Ogilvy was tied for a gold with BBDO Guerrero / Proximity Philippines’ Grandma Techie for Bayan Telecommunications. Ogilvy One also won a silver in the category Best Integrated Marketing Campaign for the Vodafone Zoozoos. The agency won a bronze for Bajaj Auto’s Pulsar MTV Stunt Mania for the Most Effective use of branded content. It was a big night for the Ogilvy network in Asia as Ogilvy offices across Mumbai, Shanghai, Thailand, Hong Kong, Sydney, Taiwan and Asia Pacific won a total of 12 awards.

In the category Most Effective use of Advertising, JWT Bangalore won a bronze for ING Vysya’s Jiyo Easy. JWT won a second bronze in the category Most innovative use of Media for Maharashtra Janvikas Kendra’s Street to School and a third Bronze in Best marketing campaign for national brand development for All India Congress Committee’s Persuading A Billion  campaign. It won a fourth Bronze for Petroleum Conservation Research Association’s Save Fuel Yaani Save Money in the Most Effective use of eco/green marketing.

The AME awards are organised by Media magazine, a sister title to Campaign India.
