Fiat Chrysler appoints Rahul Pansare to head marketing

Moves from Volkswagen, where he was head of communications

Fiat Chrysler appoints Rahul Pansare to head marketing
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India has announced the appointment of Rahul Pansare as head of marketing. Pansare moves from Volkswagen, where he was head of communications.

He replaces Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, who has left the company.

The company has also announced the appointment of Sushant Balsekar as head of corporate communications and PR.

Kevin Flynn, president and managing director, FCA India, said, “I am delighted to welcome Rahul Pansare and Sushant Balsekar to the FCA India team. They both are strong and dynamic leaders in their respective functions and will help strengthen FCA’s presence in India. They come in at a crucial time as we are steering the organisation into an all-new phase of development.”

This is Pansare's second stint with the company. He had joined Fiat in 1999 as an engineer. He has also worked with Reliance Entertainment, Philip Morris and Shaw Wallace.

Balsekar was previously with General Motors India as communications consultant. He has also worked with Nissan, Ford (India, Apac and Africa). He will be taking charge from Marius D’Lima, who will soon retire from FCA India.

Flynn added, “We envisage Marius will however remain associated with the organisation going forward as an external support when required on certain select projects."
