DDB Mudra Max bags media mandate for Kalyan Silks

Following a multi-agency pitch, Kalyan Silks, a silk showroom network which started operations in Kerala in 1909, has awarded its media mandate to DDB Mudra Max. The size of the account is pegged at Rs 25 crores, according to the media agency. The business will be handled by the DDB Mudra Max office in Bangalore.

The incumbent agencies for the media business of Kalyan Silks were Maithree (for TV media) and Lodestar UM (for print and other media).

Commenting on the development, TS Pattabhiraman (aka Swami), chairman and managing director, Kalyan Silks, said, “We are very happy to associate with DDB Mudra Max as they are a well reputed agency and extremely trustworthy. Kalyan Silks presently has stores in Thrissur, Cochin, Palakkad, Calicut, Kannur and Kottayam, as well as in Dubai. The brand’s overseas expansion plans include opening showrooms in Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and in the Gulf region. Its domestic outlets will begin operations this year at Thiruvalla, Thiruvananthapuram, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
