Meenakshi Chohan joins TBWA\India

Meenakshi Chohan has joined TBWA\India as vice president, account management. Chohan will be based out of Mumbai and replaces Gayatri Gogate. Prior to this, Chohan was with BBDO, Mumbai.
In a career spanning ten years, along with BBDO, Chohan has had stints with agencies such as JWT, Leo Burnett and Reed (a communication agency in London). At TBWA\Mumbai she will head a unit that handles brands such as Visa, Nivea, Marvel Realtors and Standard Chartered among others.

Commenting on her appointment, Chohan said, “I am really excited about coming on board. TBWA\ is one of the world’s best networks and it’s an honour to be part of the team. Furthermore, Disruption, I believe, is a powerful philosophy and I look forward to working with the team at TBWA\ to produce breakthrough strategies and creative work for our clients.”

On Chohan's appointment, Nirmalya Sen, managing director, TBWA\India, said, "What struck us about Meenakshi is her restlessness to go beyond conventional thinking and her belief in designing interesting conversations with consumers beyond the conventional 30-second format. Her mandate would be to lead a strong pool of brand management talent in Mumbai and to ensure her clients benefit from our philosophy - Disruption.” 

Anand Narayan, who was also appointed as vice president, account management recently will continue to lead the other half of TBWA\Mumbai and will handle brands such as Nissan, Loop Mobile, Angel Broking and BagZone among others.
