Aggie to be keynote speaker at The Singapore Advertising Lecture

Agnello Dias, chief creative officer of Taproot India, will make a keynote presentation at The Singapore Advertising Lecture on November 16, 2010. The lecture is a precursor to The Singapore Hall of Awards ceremony which will be held later the same evening.

Aggie will be speaking about 'Thought Consumerism'. He explained teh gist of it, "There's increasing evidence of brands putting out thoughts as a part of a mainstream campaign, that have not got to do just with marketing or selling, but are about the greater common good of society. A few examples are Idea Cellular, Tata Tea with 'Jaago Re', Dove 'Real Beauty' and The Times of India's 'Lead India'. So 'Thought Consumerism' is about brands as conveyors of thoughts for society, which are not directly involved with the selling of a product, but they yet impact the value of the brand."
