Dentsu Communications won the ‘Agency of the Year’ and Maxus bagged the ‘Media Agency of the Year’ award at the Big Bang Awards 2010 hosted by Bangalore Advertising Club on 26 Februaury, 2010.
Titan Industries won the ‘Client of the Year’. The award for ‘Ad Club Media Campaign’ of the year was presented to Mindshare for IBM and to Maxus for Titan Industries. The ‘Ayaz Peerbhoy Multimedia Campaign of the year’ award was shared by Dentsu Communication for Aircel and ING Vysya Bank.
The ‘Film Production House of the year’ was Nirvana Films. Sangeeta Velegar and Samson Samuel of Dentsu Communications won the ‘Best Copywriter of the Year’ and ‘Best Art Director of the year’ respectively.
“The most coveted events on the calendar of every advertising, media and marketing professional in India, this year, The Advertising Club , Bangalore’s Big Bang awards saw 37 agencies and 138 clients submitting 600 pieces of creative work to vie for the 155 awards,” said Malavika Harita, president, The Advertising Club, Bangalore.
"There is more to these awards than just trophies. The Big Bang rewards excellence and encourages creative talent. Today, the Indian market place is opening up to global players. We need advertising on par with world standards to package and sell our products. We believe these awards are a catalyst in the growth and development of our advertising standards," she added.
