Lowe elevates Arun Iyer and Amer Jaleel to NCD role

Arun Iyer and Amer Jaleel are the new national creative directors at Lowe Lintas. The creative duo, who confess that they have never worked together as a team are, nevertheless, upbeat about the task ahead. While Iyer earlier held the position of group creative director, Jaleel was executive director. The duo will be jointly responsible for Lowe’s creative product, and will continue to report to R. Balki, chairman and chief creative officer, Lowe Lintas. In addition, Madhu Noorani has been appointed as chief creative planner on key businesses.

Arun Iyer and Amer Jaleel are the new national creative directors at Lowe Lintas. The creative duo, who confess that they have never worked together as a team are, nevertheless, upbeat about the task ahead. While Iyer earlier held the position of group creative director, Jaleel was executive director. The duo will be jointly responsible for Lowe’s creative product, and will continue to report to R. Balki, chairman and chief creative officer, Lowe Lintas.
 
In addition, Madhu Noorani has been appointed as chief creative planner on key businesses. She will continue with her creative duties on Johnson & Johnson and other key regional Unilever brands, and will also report in to R. Balki. Commenting on the development, Balki said, “Both Amer and Arun are phenomenal creative minds. Managing the creative product of the agency will be shared by them as part of their new role. I would like to congratulate Amer, Arun and Madhu and am confident that our creative work is poised to take a leap under their leadership.”
 
Besides these announcements, there have been other significant developments at Lowe. Deepa Geethakrishnan, who was heading creative for the agency’s Bengaluru office, is shifting to Mumbai. Her responsiblities are still being worked out internally, and will be announced soon. 
Rajesh Ramaswamy and Abhijit Ghosh will head creative for the Bengaluru office.  Ashvin Varkey, creative director has been made group creative director.
