ASCI upholds complaints against 132 ads
 
During the month of May 2019, ASCI investigated complaints against 231 advertisements. Of these, 67 advertisements were promptly withdrawn by the advertisers. From the remaining 164, ASCI’s independent Consumer Complaints Council (CCC) upheld complaints against 132 advertisements. 
69 belonged to the education sector, 41 belonged to healthcare, four food & beverages, two to personal care, and 16 were from the ‘others’ category.
 
Media Mantra bags RRB Energy’s PR 
 
Media Mantra has bagged the public relations mandate of RRB Energy, a wind and electric power generation organisation. The agency will be managing the brand image, media duties, strategic PR and reputation management. 
 
Mixed Route Juice bags Dhara 
 
Dhara has appointed Mixed Route Juice (MRJ) as its social and digital media agency.  The agency is mandated to give the brand a fresh look in the social media universe.
 
Philips gets Alia Bhatt for new product
 
Philips has announced the launch of  a hair straightening brush. For the launch the brand has extended its partnership with Alia Bhatt. 
 
Pokkt gets Dinesh Kailash Kumar as CTO
 
In game advertising platform, Pokkt, has announced the appointment of Dinesh Kailash Kumar as chief technology officer. Based in Bengaluru, Kumar will report to Rohit Sharma, co-founder and CEO, Pokkt. Kumar moves from Amazon where he led a 50-member tech division. 
 
UC Ads appoints Httpool 
 
UC Ads has announced the appointment of Httpool as its exclusive ad sales partner in India. UC Ads is a mobile marketing platform empowered by UC.
