Visa appoints Ramakrishnan Gopalan
Visa has announced the appointment of Ramakrishnan Gopalan as vice president, head of products and solutions, for India and South Asia. 
 
He will lead the products team in developing the strategy and the long-term design for the growth of Visa’s product propositions in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives.
 
He moves from Citi, where he was director, strategic initiatives in Singapore. 
 
Sandeep Ghosh, country manager, India and South Asia, Visa Group, said, “We are excited to welcome Ramki to the Visa family. His rich experience in banking and cards will help Visa expand its product suite as we move towards further strengthening the digital payments ecosystem in India and South Asia.”
 
Gopalan said, “I am extremely excited to join Visa at a time when the company is bringing more consumers, merchants and organisations into the digital payments ecosystem, making strides with its deep expertise in payments. The pandemic has accelerated digital adoption and building on that, Visa has been committed to offer trusted payment solutions in this digital-first environment.”
 
With over 20 years of experience, he has also worked with companies like Nestle India and Infosys.
