Taj Television has appointed Rajesh Sethi as CEO, to manage the sports business. Sethi will report to Punit Goenka, managing director and chief executive officer, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limted.
Goenka said, "I am glad to have Rajesh join the Zee family, and I am also confident that his rich experience across various sectors, would bring in immense value to the organisation, enhancing the performance of our sports business by many folds.”
On his new role, Sethi said, “Media and entertainment is an extremely dynamic sector, and I am glad to join a brand which is a leader in this category. I have always admired the pioneering steps taken by Zee, and I am equally keen to contribute my best to this dynamic company.”
Sethi joins Taj Television from Allianz Global Assistance, where he was CEO and region director - South East Asia. He replaces Atul Pande, who will be offered an alternate role within the Essel Group, according to a Zee Group statement. Sethi joined the network on 2 July 2013.
