The Abby Awards 2024, powered by One Show, have announced the appointment of new jury chairs for two of its categories.

Praful Akali, founder and managing director of Medulla, will chair the Health category, while Ashish Khazanchi, founder and chief creative officer of Enormous, will take the helm in the Still Print category.

Akali, a globally recognised figure in healthcare creative circles, has been a key part in pushing the boundaries of creative and effective communication in healthcare advertising. Since 2015, Akali has garnered close to 50 shortlists and over 20 prestigious awards, including a Grand Prix at Lions Health, Clio, the Global Awards, London Festival, and Spikes.

His leadership at Medulla led the agency to win the 'Healthcare Agency of the Year' at Cannes Lions in 2016, making it the only agency globally to feature in the top three agencies of the year in the first three years of Lions Health. Medulla is also the only healthcare specialist agency listed among the World’s Leading Independent Agencies in 2018.

Ashish Khazanchi, a veteran with over 30 years in advertising and leadership roles across major agency networks such as Y&R, Ogilvy, McCann, and Publicis, has guided Enormous from a startup to one of the leading independent creative agencies in India. Known for creating the iconic Jingalala campaign for Tata Sky, Khazanchi's creative expertise has earned him over 300 awards, including international accolades like the One Show, D&AD, Spikes, and Cannes. Under his leadership, Enormous became the first independent agency to win a Grand Effie in India this year.

The Abby Awards 2024 will take place from May 29th to 31st during Goafest 2024, where these industry leaders will oversee the judging of innovative entries in their respective categories.
