Medulla, the homegrown heathcare communications specialist, that has grabbed the attention of the world, due to its performance at global festivals like the Cannes Lions, is now gunning for a lion’s share of the healthcare advertising pie in India, and across parts of Asia.

The agency has announced that it will be associating with the BlocPartners as its sole Indian representative. The US-headquartered BlocPartners is the largest network of independent healthcare agencies across the world.

Praful Akali, founder and MD, Medulla communications said, “There are two elements to this partnership. We join the network and therefor join hands in pitching for business in the US and across the world. Also, whenever there is an element of that business to be delivered for the Asian market, minus China and Japan, then the business will be managed by Medulla.”

He added, “There are lots of networks of independent agencies. But what led us to partner with the Bloc is that we see our creative sides and approach match a lot and that will hopefully win us even more business for the local network.”

Rico Viray, chairman, BlocPartners said, “As a network if you marry the strength of creativity and the nimbleness of the entrepreneurial agencies within the network it’s a vital combination. Agencies like Medulla bring in the local insight and local partnerships for global advertising campaigns. We match the value, process and talent with the large advertising networks. Another advantage for us is that since local agency partners are involved right at the beginning of the campaign, it brings in the complete buy-in when the campaign has to be rolled out.”
