Leo Burnett Mumbai ropes in Kapil Sawant as ECD

Leo Burnett has brought on Kapil Sawant as executive creative director for its Mumbai office. Prior to this, Sawant was with Contract Advertising, Mumbai, where he was senior vice president/senior creative director.

In his new role at Leo Burnett, Sawant’s responsibility is to handle the agency’s McDonald’s account.

Welcoming him into the Leo Burnett fold, Sridhar said, “Kapil Sawant is joining Leo at a time when the entire creative engine is re-energised to move forward. His experience and skill will inspire our young team of creative professionals at Leo Burnett Mumbai to achieve even bigger creative goals"

Commenting on his decision to join Leo Burnett, he said, “Leo Burnett has always been known as the place of great opportunities. I am looking forward to expanding my horizons working with Pops and Nitesh Tiwari. It’s also exciting that I will be a part of the McDonald's creative team"

A Graduate from Sir J.J Institute of Applied Arts, Sawant has been in advertising for around 15 years, at agencies including Euro RSCG and Ogilvy.
