Bates 141 names Sandeep Pathak as new CEO

Sandeep Pathak has been named as the new CEO for Bates 141. This follows the exit of its current CEO Subhash Kamath, who will be joining BBH’s India office as managing partner. Pathak will be responsible for all the brand strategy and advertising businesses. He has been the Mumbai head for Bates since the last two years. He was earlier with Leo Burnett.

Sandeep Pathak has been named as the new CEO for Bates 141. This follows the exit of its current CEO Subhash Kamath, who will be joining BBH’s India office as managing partner. Pathak will be responsible for all the brand strategy and advertising businesses. He has been the Mumbai head for Bates since the last two years. He was earlier with Leo Burnett.

Sonal Dabral, chairman, Bates 141 said "Pat (Pathak) is one of India's finest advocates for great work and a true believer in driving original and effective ideas. He will lead the Bates 141 brand well across India."

Manosh Mukherjee is the new COO for the WPP agency. He has worked for Bates 141 since the last eight years. Digby Richards, CEO Asia Pacific said, "Manosh is so much more than a CFO and this appointment recognises his ability to balance finance objectives with the softer needs of our business". Mukherjee will also join Bates 141's regional Commercial Council.

Dheeraj Sinha will become the chief strategy officer for the Bates 141 Group. Dabral said, "Dheeraj is our key change agent and will continue to drive the overall change point planning practice across the group, helping clients turn change into opportunity".

The new appointments are effective from November 1, 2008. Subhash Kamath will serve out his notice period till the end of 2008 and is set to join BBH in January 2009.
