Appies 2016: McCann India bags three Gold, three Silver awards

Maximum metal for Maggi, Western Union, Dettol work; BBH, MTV bag a Silver apiece

Appies 2016: McCann India bags three Gold, three Silver awards
 
McCann Worldgroup India won three of the 10 Gold awards at the Appies 2016 competition in Singapore, winners of which were announced in end-August.
 
The gold-winning work included the re-launch campaign for Nestle’s Maggi, ‘Light up a village’ for Western Union Money Transfer and ‘Dettol Ka Dhula’ for RB’s Dettol. 
 
The agency also won three of 10 Silver winners. One of these was for ‘Khul ke khelo Holi’ for Marico’s hair care brand Parachute. The others were for ‘Fair Sex Fair Say’ for i-can pills and ‘The condom that took on a porn star’ for TTK’s Skore Condoms. 
 
Rajesh Sharma, group planning director, McCann India, picked up one of the five awards for best presenters this year.
 
BBH Communications India won a Silver for work on Philips Air Purifiers – ‘Bringing air pollution closer to people’s lives’.
 
MTV India also won Silver, for ‘Dunk that junk’.
