Ambika Soni is the new I&B minister

Ambika Soni is the new Information and Broadcasting minister in the newly constituted cabinet.  Soni (pictured) has earlier served as the minister for Tourism and minister of Culture in the previous UPA Government.Mohan Jatua and Dr. S Jagathrakshakan are the two ministers of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Ambika Soni is the new Information and Broadcasting minister in the newly constituted cabinet.  Soni (pictured) has earlier served as the minister for Tourism and minister of Culture in the previous UPA Government.

Mohan Jatua and Dr. S Jagathrakshakan are the two ministers of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Soni was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Punjab in August 2004. She has served in various roles after she was elected in the Upper House in March 1976. She became president of the All India Mahila Congress in 1998. She has been a general secretary in the All India Congress Committee since 1999.
