Watch a glimpse of the show here

National Geographic Channel (NGC) is bringing out a documentary about Akshaya Patra Foundation’s mid-day meal scheme, titled ‘Akshaya Patra Shiksha Ka Mahabhog’. The free mid-day meal scheme in schools is the a reason a lot of underprivileged children are allowed to pursue an education by their parents.

The film, which will go on air on 27 April, will go behind the scenes and capture what it takes to mount an operation of feeding children at 10,770 schools across 10 States.

NGC has also launched a #FoodForEducation initiative on digital media to raise awareness and donations for the Foundation.

Relevant, responsible and refreshing.
