Things They Like: Hitesh Mehta

The VP of Leo Burnett on when and why he'll start wearing a watch and his love for Samsung gadgets

Things They Like: Hitesh Mehta

It took Hitesh Mehta 10 years to figure out that he didn’t need every new toy and gadget that is a trendy ‘must-have’. Currently in love with Samsung products, he depends on his smartphone to stay connected.

Mehta says he owns a basic list of all the essentials that should constitute a man’s wardrobe, and humbly adds that the list is not particularly long. “From simple shirts to perfectly cut chinos, to the one suit we have no excuse not to own. Must add that I am a big fan of pure linen and own around 10 white linen shirts that all look the same yet feel different,” he reveals. The man loves Hugo Boss denims. But when on a tight(er) budget, the choice is Zara.

Asked about his favourite watch, he notes, “Will start wearing a watch only when I can afford a Rolex. Until then my Samsung smartphone helps me keep track of time.”

Mehta owns a Fortuner, but prefers to depend on Uber to avoid parking and driving hassles. A complete beach person, Mehta loves Thailand and Indonesia for all its hidden islands. “Could also do with the fact that I spent the last eight years working and living there,” he says.
