AIR to broadcast WC commentary; invites advertisers

All India Radio has announced that it has won the exclusive rights for radio commentary of ICC World Cup 2015.

An official statement said, "Akashvani has got the exclusive rights for the broadcast of radio commentary for the ICC Cricket World Cup, 2015."

"AIR is going to broadcast commentary of matches that are played by India and some of the matches involving neighbouring countries. It will also broadcast (commentary of) all the matches that will be played from quarter-finals stage onwards," it further added.

The rates for spots have been released.

Advertisements through commercial spots of 10 seconds duration will be put up on identified primary channel stations across the country/FM gold channel at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.
