TALAMASCA (France)

Cedric Dassulle aka Talamasca is one of the pioneers of the French trance scene. Today he is particularly known for his work on the Talamasca project which has seen great success over the last 10 years and is one of the most requested live acts in all the big festivals around the world. He has released five personal albums and countless releases on the best labels of the scene such as TIP World and Spun Records, and he is also the label manager of Mind Control Records. Catch him playing at Bluefrog in Mumbai on Friday from 10:30 pm onwards.

Hip Hop Night

Dj SA is the only Hip hop Dj from Mumbai to have performed all over the world. He will be playing his tracks along with MC Bob Kat at Bluefrog from 10:30 pm onwards on Saturday at Bluefrog.

THE OTHER PEOPLE:

The Other People are hugely popular for their Rock n’ Roll renditions. Edgy and experimental, the band moves into covering classic artists such as Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Neil Diamond, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Doors, Bon Jovi, U2, Bob Marley, Billy Joel, Billy Idol, Police, Status Quo, The Eagles, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Bee Gees etc.

Catch them play at Bluefrog from 9:30 pm onwards till the FIFA World Cup finals start at Bluefrog on Sunday.

Bandish

The three-day Bandish festival, featuring works by legendary composers from the north and south of India starts with a performance by Umakant and Ramakant Gundecha. The duo will open the noted Hindustani vocalist Ulhas Kashalkar.

Catch this at the Tata Theatre at the National Centre for Performaing Arts (NCPA) at Nariman Point in Mumbai from 6:30 pm onwards on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are priced between Rs.100 and Rs.500.

Tough on Tobacco

Tough on Tobacco is a pop-rock-reggae band with a tine of homour that comprises of Sidd Coutto, Gaurav Gupta, Pozy Dhar, Neil Gomes, Johan Pais and Jai Row Kavi. Catch them playing in Bangalore from 8:00 pm onwards at the B flat, 100 Feet Road, HAL 2nd Stage, Indiranagar.

Directed by Sohaila Kapur and starring members of SLAP (Sounds Like a Plan) on the Greasepaint, this collaborative effort between film-maker Lata Bhasin and theatre group Greasepaint presents a reading of two short stories from American shockmeister Stephen King's, Night Shift. Catch this in Delhi at the American Centre, 24, Kasturba Gandhi Marg from 6:30 pm onwards on Saturday.
