Ad Club Bombay honours young achievers

The Advertising Club Bombay hosted the second edition of the Young Achievers’ Awards on Friday evening.This year the awards received 242 entries, a significant increase from the 149 entries received last year.O&M’s Ryan Mendonca was recognized as best copywriter for his campaign ‘Breakthrough – Domestic Violence’ for Bell Bajao. The same campaign won Mendonca and his art partner Mark Benjamin the award for ‘Young Achiever of The Year for Social Change’.

The Advertising Club Bombay hosted the second edition of the Young Achievers’ Awards on Friday evening.

This year the awards received 242 entries, a significant increase from the 149 entries received last year.

O&M’s Ryan Mendonca was recognized as best copywriter for his campaign ‘Breakthrough – Domestic Violence’ for Bell Bajao. The same campaign won Mendonca and his art partner Mark Benjamin the award for ‘Young Achiever of The Year for Social Change’.

McCann Erickson’s Siddhi Yadav was declared Young Achiever of The Year in two categories – Art and Design – for Fedrigoni’s Monsters, Ink campaign.

Mudra’s Abhijit Kumar bagged the award in Best Business Initiative for TVS Scooty’s Women on Wheels campaign. Tribal DDB’s Vasant Karkera was awarded for achievement in Digital for Idea Cellular Mobile Roadie Challenge.

In film direction, it was Footcandles Films’ Ayappa Kongandamadappa who bagged the award for his TVC for DLF IPL 2 -  Ek Desh, Ek Junoon. In photography, Shoot At Sight’s Amol Jadhav won an award for the Lead India campaign - School Kid.

In media, Mediacom’s Prasanna Kumar bagged the award in best brand marketing for Gillette Mach 3’s campaign – To shave OR not to shave.

Meanwhile, the duo of Himanshu Phutela and Naresh Batra from Lodestar Universal were declared winners in Young Achiever of The Year – Media.

The creative awards jury was chaired by Agnello Dias and included Akshay Kapnadak, Anil Kakar, Ashish Khazanchi, Deepa Kakkar, Juju Basu, KB Vinod, Mangesh Rane, Priti Nair, Ravi Jadhav, Santosh Padhi, Vikram Gaikwad and Zenobia Pithawalla.

The business awards jury was chaired by Rajesh Jejurikar and included Lakshmi Goyal, Nandini Dias, Partho Dasgupta, Prashant Panday, Pratap Bose, Rajat Jain and Rohit Mull.
