RIP: Fabian Gonsalves

Fabian Gonsalves, partner, RK Swamy BBDO, passed away on 25 January 2013 after a sudden illness.

An Advertising veteran of over 25 years, Gonsalves joined RK SWAMY BBDO in 1991, and handled leading institutions such as SBI, Union Bank, SIDBI, SEBI, NABARD, Dena Bank, RBI and IndusInd Bank to mention a few. He started his career with MAA Communications.

Remembering his colleague of over 19 years, S Narasimhan, senior partner, RK Swamy BBDO, said, “Gonsalves was known for the human touch he brought into advertising while servicing his clients. Unlike most of the new generation who prefer e-mails and text messages while servicing their clients, he preferred to meet his clients over a cup of tea which was appreciated by all. This enabled him to get more insights into their businesses and identify more business opportunities for the agency. Moreover, in the fast paced business that we are in, he is someone who maintained his calm and sensibility despite huge pressures from clients.”

Gonsalves leaves behind his wife, a son and a daughter.
