Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar to join Cheil India as CCO

Will take over on 1 December, a year after moving to Bates Chi&Partners Singapore

Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar to join Cheil India as CCO
Cheil India has announced the appointment of Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar as chief creative officer of Cheil South West Asia.

He will join the agency on 1 December 2015.

The former NCD of Bates Chi&Partners India had moved to head creative at the agency’s Singapore office in December 2014.

Speaking with Campaign India, Shiv Sethuraman, group president, Cheil South West Asia, said, "It's been a long search for us. We were very keen to pick someone who had done little bit of integrated, experiential and all of that because the large part of our interest in the future will be in these areas. So we didn't want a pure-play ATL guy. He's an all round nice guy who is hungry to do much more. He doesn’t need a certificate from anyone. His talent, passion and work ethic are well known in the business and we are privileged to have him lead Cheil. I am confident he will take our creative reputation to great heights."

Mahabaleshwarkar said, "Shiv has put an exciting team together and I am looking forward to be a part of it. My aim is to do new age integrated work that will take the creative reputation to the next level. Cheil is already on the right track – recent wins are ample proof of that."

He has also worked with Rediffusion Y&R and Ogilvy & Mather in past assignments.
