A formal announcement on AdAsia 2013 was made at the 28th Asian Advertising Congress held on 29 August, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
AdAsia 2013’s theme will be 'Re-engineer advertising' and it is scheduled for 11 to 14 November in Hanoi.
At the Congress, the event's official partners were announced. These include: Dentsu Media Vietnam; Le Media Group; MMA Global (Mobile Marketing Association); Sun Flower Media Group; Vina Media Corporation and WADA Group.
Speakers for the event on day two include Hoang Tuan Anh, minister of culture, sports and tourism, Vietnam; Howard Draft, executive chairman, Draftfcb; John Merrifield, CCO, Google Asia Pacific; Rahul Sharma, co-founder, managing director, Micromax; Don Peppers, founding partner, Peppers and Rogers; and Dick Van Motman, chairman and CEO, Dentsu Asia.
Day three of the festival will see author David Allen Aaker kickoff proceedings. Other speakers on the day will include Tom Doctoroff, CEO, JWT Apac; Michael Barden, director of incubation, R&D, Microsoft; Nigel Hollis, EVP and chief global analyst, Millward Brown; Mundlay Shekhar, CEO, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam; Raymond So, vice chairman AFAA; Edward Pank, managing director, Warc Asia; and Kim Do-nyun, chief planner, Seoul Digital Media City.
Speakers on day four of the festival include Jean Lin, global CSO, CEO Apac, Isobar; Takayuki Hoshuyama, CEO, D2C Inc; Le Hong Minh, chairman and CEO, VNG Corporation; Anurag Batra, chairman and editor-in-chief, Exchange4media Group; Shubhranshu Singh, marketing director, India and South Asia, Micromax; Lito German, managing director, BMW Asia; Chiro Gupta, global media innovation manager, Unilever Asia; Rose Tsou, senior vice president Apac, Yahoo; Dinh Ba Thanh, chairman, Dat Viet Group; Do Co Nguyan (Hien), ECD, Clipper Indochine; and Hermawan Kartajaya, president, World Marketing Association.
