GEC Ratings: Sony drops points but retains second position

Star Plus continues its stay at the top of Hindi GECs according to TAM ratings available for Week 37, 2011. The channel registered 307 GRPs; an increase of 7 points from previous week’s 300 GRPs. Sony retained their second position despite losing 15 points to register 243 GRPs.  Colors too lost points this week, and registered 233 GRPs to maintain their third position.

Zee TV, which had registered 198 GRPs last week, closed at 182 GRPs. Sab dropped from 117 GRPs to 112 GRPs, while Imagine dropped from 72 GRPs to 68 GRPs. Star One and Sahara One registered 41 GRPs and 31 GRPs respectively.

Star Plus’ ‘Saathiya Saath Nibhana’ was the most viewed program of the week with 6.17 TVR on Monday, 5 September. ‘Balika Vadhu’ aired on Colors on Tuesday, 6 September followed with 5.19 TVR. Sony’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ registered 5.03 TVR on Wednesday, 7 September to be the third most viewed program of the week.
