Business Today appoints Rohit Saran as editor

Living Media has named Rohit Saran as editor, Business Today. Saran will move into his new role from August 16. He comes in place of Sanjoy Narayan who has quit the group to join Hindustan Times as editor-in-chief. Saran will continue to oversee the editorial leadership of the magazines that he is presently responsible for. Also, Brian Carvalho has been promoted as managing editor, Business Today effective September 15, 2008. This follows the exit of R Sridharan who is moving on to a new assignment outside the India Today Group.

Business Today appoints Rohit Saran as editor

Living Media has named Rohit Saran as editor, Business Today. Saran will move into his new role from August 16. He comes in place of Sanjoy Narayan who has quit the group to join Hindustan Times as editor-in-chief. Saran will continue to oversee the editorial leadership of the magazines that he is presently responsible for. 

Also, Brian Carvalho has been promoted as managing editor, Business Today effective September 15, 2008. This follows the exit of R Sridharan who is moving on to a new assignment outside the India Today Group.

"I am confident that Rohit and Brian will take the magazine to greater heights," said Aroon Purie, chairman, Living Media.

"Rohit has been with the  organisation for over 14 years and was part of the Business Today edit team in his early years with the Company, before he moved on to India Today. At India Today, he rose to the level of executive editor after which he took independant charge and successfully launched Money Today as Managing Editor,"said Ashish Bagga, CEO, India Today Group.
