Agency Report Card 2017: FCB Interface

We assess FCB Interface's 2017 performance in India, based on its business results, its innovation and initiatives, its work and awards and its people and leadership.

Agency Report Card 2017: FCB Interface
If you had to rank the impact of your creative work as a self-appraisal, this is the agency that claims to have some answers. FCB Interface claims to have a six-point scale for measuring creative impact. The first 3 points on the scale are reserved for work that ranges from the offensive to the innocuous. On the scale, 4 is reserved for work that is provocative- that makes one stop, think and react in some way. 5 is awarded to work that creates behaviour of some sort- that invites people to participate and act. And 6 is the Holy Grail- reserved for work that the agency believes will create conversations in perpetuity.

Another development in the agency is the integration of digital across departments rather than having a separate digital wing.

To build a strong leadership pipeline, the agency has a leadership development intervention where  key leaders work one-on-one with an executive coach.

The agency also has a Young Leadership Council, that gives developmental opportunities to youngsters to signal that they are on the fast track through prestigious projects, international assignments and high-investment training programs. These employees are typically 35 years and below, from across offices and disciplines. They are a diverse, yet like-minded group, who meet once every quarter to ideate, discuss and debate on a wide spectrum of subjects.

PHYSICAL INTERFACE

  • The agency celebrates a ‘WOW Day’ every month. This day is dedicated to learning a new skill, brainstorming on new ideas or just inviting a celebrity achiever to come and talk to agency executives.
  • Given the high-pressure nature of the business, employees need opportunities to de-stress in the workplace. Under a program called FCBeFIT, the agency conducts power spas, meditation and yoga classes, zumba sessions, health check-up camps and fitness and diet advisory.
