Disney+ Hotstar urges people to live without sacrificing watching the ICC Men's World Cup

Disney+ Hotstar has rolled out a campaign 'free lo thoda jee lo' (get free and live free), to showcase its ICC Men's World Cup 2023 streaming offerings. The film has been conceptualised by its in-house team and features actors, Abhishek Banerjee and Jameel Khan.

 

The film portrays the protagonist arriving at the gates of heaven, where he faces a judgment of his life's choices. The divine judge commends his long-standing practice of wearing a tattered vest and sleeping with just a fan in his room, even as he installs an air conditioner in his son's room. However, despite these sacrifices, he falls short of earning a ticket to heaven when he sacrifices watching the India vs Pakistan match to allow his mother to enjoy her favourite Hindi serial.

 

The divine judge criticises him for prioritising his family to the detriment of his own desires. The film concludes by emphasising the availability of free streaming services for the World Cup matches.

 

The film is directed by Nikhil Rao and was rolled out on 4 October 2023.
