Vikash Nowlakha joins in as director, DOP and Vivek Gupta as head of post production

New appointments at Bang Bang Films

Bang Bang Films has made two new appointments. Vikash Nowlakha has been signed for global directorial representation and Vivek Gupta  as head of post-production. In his new role, Gupta will be reporting to head of production, Cyrus Mendes.

Nowlakha holds a degree in Philosophy and Enviornmental Economics from Tasmania University. Hehas been in the business of filmmaking for over 14 years now. He started in the business as an apprentice to ad filmmaker, Adi Pocha, and later worked as a director at MTV for over four years. Thereafter, he went to  New York Film Academy to study Cinematography. On completion of his course he returned to India and has been working ever since as a  DOP and director shooting commercials, features, and documentaries. Based in Mumbai, he also works extensively across several territories around the world.

Vivek Gupta has over 15 years of experience in sound, editing, camera, production and photography. Gupta was previously with MTunes where he was heading their post-production division. Prior to this, he was editing and producing content for television shows for CNNi, MTV and Channel V. He started his career as a live sound engineer in Kolkata working for a radio studio, following which he took on the role of a management trainer for Transtech Consultants in Hong Kong. He moved to Mumbai in April 2000 and worked with Quality Cine Labs. During his working career he has also produced television shows for the Tourism Ministry of Madagascar and Reel Productions in the U.S. He holds a Bachelor's degree in commerce from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
