24 hours with... Sheetal Vanwari

Awfis' head of marketing takes us through what a day in her life looks like

24 hours with... Sheetal Vanwari
Ever wondered what an ideal day in the life of someone from advertising/marketing/media is? We're here to spill the beans on it.

Every Tuesday, we'll have a person from the advertising/marketing/media industry profiled in this section.

Name: Sheetal Vanwari
Job: Head of marketing, Awfis
Professional mantra: 'I hope that either all of us, or none of us, are judged by the actions of our weakest moments. But rather, by the strength we show when, and if, we're ever given a second chance.' – Ted Lasso
Personal mantra: Serenity Now! (#iykyk)

8:30am: I usually wake up at 8:30 am (not a morning person) and have a leisurely cup of coffee – my favourite part of the day.

9:30am: On my commute time to our Mumbai head office in BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex), I check Awfis’ social handles, relevant news, hoardings, and stay updated on coworking and marketing trends.

10am: Once I reach the office, I have a quick catch-up with the team, discuss tasks and prioritise assignments, pending work, deadlines, and deliverables.

11am: I use this pre-lunch work block to engage in proofreading, content creation, data work, SEO & SEM reviews and reports.

1:30pm: I usually grab lunch at the Awfis Café and eavesdrop on the conversations amongst the Awfis community members – great for getting some user insights and sometimes also, Netflix recommendations.

2:00pm: Post-lunch is when I work on tasks I enjoy, such as research, writing, design collaboration, or social media.

I also schedule weekly meetings and calls during the second half with my PR team, digital agency, internal departments, and potential marketing prospects. Some days, I visit other Awfis centers in Mumbai and interact with the community members, especially during the many events we host in-centre.

6:00pm: My post-work hours, I engage in 'thinking' and creative work. It’s when I’m most relaxed and the work day has ended.

8:00pm onwards: Every evening I decide to work out but often choose to watch TV or continue working on any pending tasks. Fortunately, my husband is a great cook, so sometimes he cooks and we enjoy a meal together or we order in and relax with a drink before he moves to his ‘Call of Duty’, and I dive into a murder mystery (book or TV as long as someone is killed in the first 10 minutes) or a sitcom to end my day.

I sleep around midnight while mindlessly scrolling through Reels or Twitter and Reddit.
