LG India has secured a deal with the ICC (International Cricket Council). As a part of the new deal, LG India will sponsor all ICC events until 2015, beginning with the Twenty20 World Cup in England in June.With this deal, the company is hoping to capitalise on the popularity of cricket in the country. Said Moon B Shin, managing director, LG India "Cricket is more than religion in India and we, being one of the largest consumer durables companies in the country, like to associate ourselves with cricket. Now we are extending our sponsorship of cricket to 2015."
