D&AD 2022: 22 wins for India on day one

Dentsu Webchutney leads with seven, which includes a Yellow Pencil; DDB Mudra, Early Man Film, FCB India and Ogilvy have four each

D&AD 2022: 22 wins for India on day one
The organisers of D&AD  announced the first list of winners through a virtual awards ceremony on 25 May.
 
From the 37 shortlists India received, 22 converted to Pencils. 
 
Dentsu Webchutney's 'The Unfiltered History Tour' for Vice World News won a total of seven Pencils. The tally consisted of a Yellow, to go with three Graphite and Wood Pencils each.
 
FCB India's 'The Nominate Me Selfie' for The Times of India won two Graphite and Wood Pencils each. 
 
Ogilvy India also won two Graphite and Wood Pencils each. Three of the wins (two Graphite and a Wood) was for Mondelez India's 'Shah Rukh Khan - My Ad', which was also entered by Rephrase.AI. The agency also bagged a Wood Pencil for Dove's '#StopTheBeautyTest'.
 
'Machine Gun Mouth' for Krafton India, entered by Early Man Film and DDB Mudra Group won a Graphite and three Wood Pencils.
 
Memesys Culture Lab won two Wood Pencils. One came for Vicks India's #TouchOfCare' for Shasn:Azadi.
 
VMLY&R India won a Wood Pencil for Maxx Flash's 'The Killer Pack'.
 
The Wood Pencil is the equivalent of a Bronze, while a Graphite is regarded as a Silver, and Yellow is a Gold. The second list of winners will be announced later today (26 May).
