Olx clicks the envy button to reiterate 'Bech de' message

Watch the ad film created by ITSA Brand Innovations

Online classifieds website Olx.in has been releasing TVCs featuring different segments of products that consumers can sell and buy using the platform. The latest commercial creafted by ITSA Brand Innovations went on air on 1 April.

The film shows one can even sell and buy a big ticket item like vehicles through Olx. The commercial opens with a couple sneaking into the neighbour’s garage to measure their sedan. Once done, they head back to their garage to measure their own car. Upon realising their car is smaller than the neighbour’s, the lady declares that they should immediately sell the car. They click a picture of the car, upload it on Olx.in and soon are in touch with an interested set of buyers. The buyers and sellers meet and the sale happens without a glitch. The TVC concludes with the super: ‘Where buyers meet sellers.’

On the campaign, Amarjit Singh Batra, country head, Olx India, said, “We have always tried to find insights into the consumer’s life and given them reasons to sell their pre-owned stuff on Olx. What appeals most about this one – is a sharp, real life insight.”

He furthers said that it was important for the company to showcase its transaction capability for a product like cars.

Emmanuel Upputuru, copywriter, ITSA, said, “The car that you own is the most respectable way to show ‘I am the bigger dog in this fight’. And what happens when you suddenly lose this crucial match is depicted in the film in a humorous and engaging manner. They say it’s the men who compare, but if you see the film carefully, it’s not restricted to any gender. In the film it’s the woman who doesn’t want to see the face of their ‘smaller’ car anymore and the solution of course is 'Bech de'.”
