BMW has roped in cricketer and avid car lover Sachin Tendulkar for the launch of the new BMW 3 Series. Autocarindia.com broke the news of Tendulkar's association with BMW on 24 July.
The AutocarIndia.com report said: ‘Sachin is seen as a perfect fit for the German luxury car brand and, according to the company, the Master Blaster’s association with BMW could even extend to global markets where there is a strong (and wealthy) Indian diaspora.’
Quoting company sources, it was reported that Tendulkar will hand over the keys to the first 100 customers of the new F30 3-series as a symbolic gesture to commemorate his achievement of scoring a hundred centuries.
At another event in Mumbai on 27 July, Tendulkar spoke of his love for the brand and unveiled the new BMW 3 Series.
Liquid Campaign, the creative agency for BMW, unveiled a campaign for the new launch the same day. A TVC went on air at 6 pm, and a print leg of the campaign is scheduled for 28 July.
