Vynsley Fernandes, COO, INX News, said, "From regular sports to highly popular but unusual games, Sport Grandstand covers every sporting action of the week from around the world. Our sports programmes have consistently enjoyed high viewership, satisfying the sports aficionados. We are happy to take leadership in this space."

Speaking about the show, Linford Christie said, "Sport Grandstand is by far the most comprehensive sport show. It covers every important sports story of the week, no matter where in the world. I have been involved with NewsX for the Olympics and I am indeed very much impressed with their sports programming."

When asked about what makes brands interested in signing on a sportsman/athlete for endorsements, Christie told Campaign India, "Sports and advertising always go together. It's largely about the charisma for a sportsman, and once you've got that kind of look and personality, I think it works very well for advertising."

The hour long Sport Grandstand will be aired weekly on NewsX, every Saturday at 1 p.m.
