Cheil Worldwide appoints Ankur Bose as vice president – BTL

 

Cheil Worldwide SW Asia has announced the appointment of Ankur Bose as vice president - BTL. The agency noted that Bose’s appointment is in sync with Cheil’s plan to build a strong integrated team that will foster the philosophy of Idea Engineering. 
 
Alok Agrawal, chief operating officer, Cheil Worldwide SW Asia, said, “Ankur’s rich experience and stellar track record makes him ideal to lead the team and drive integrated experiential solutions that address specific brand problems. He is highly energetic and is well aligned with the agency vision and philosophy.”
 
Confirming the development, Bose said, “Last mile and in-store advertising is the fastest growing segment of the industry. If ambient media is seamlessly integrated with last mile advertising, the returns are potentially exponential. Cheil is the ideal platform in India to push this envelope.”
 
Bose has a career spanning 14 years, in which he began his working life in 1997 designing exhibitions and writing copy, at JWT (HTA). He won his first accolade for designing the India Pavilion for the World Expo 2000, Hanover, Germany.  Soon after, he joined Lintas as Business Head of their Events Division. 
 
In 2006, having spent 4 years at Lintas, Bosemoved to Ogilvy Activation to head their rural business in Delhi, where, in a span of two years he became vice president and business director.  He took on responsibility as National In-Charge of Operations, Ogilvy Action where he lead a team across 12 state offices, six full service offices and 285 members for Retail, Live and Outreach.
 
Bose has worked with a multitude of clients, including Unilever, Vodafone, Dabur, Castrol, Dupont, Motorola, India Post, ICICI, Lafarge, Coca Cola, Berger Paints, ITC, Orissa Tourism, Peerless, Tata Indicom, Mother Dairy, UNICEF, amongst others.
