Agnello Dias is the only Indian who has been invited to judge The One Show Awards over two legs in Honolulu, Hawaii and Lincoln Centre, New York in the US.

While Dias (pictured) has already judged the first leg, the second will take place during the first week of May in New York.

In terms of quality of entries during the first leg of judging, Dias said, “We did not expect the entries to be good because recession has hit the west so badly. However, as it turned out, the quality of the entries was really good. There are huge strides being made in the non-traditional media. We are way behind when it comes to non-traditional media. They are looking at real experiences. It is very difficult to distinguish between what’s real and what’s advertising.”

Dias is now looking forward to the second leg of judging. “I am really curious to find out what has come through in the second leg.”
