AD Club recognises Gen Next

The Advertising Club of Bombay hosted the newly constituted Young Achievers Awards on 24 September, 2008 in Mumbai. The Creative Person of the year award went to Shirin Johari of O&M for HSBC’s swimming pool. Ritu Trivedi of Lodestar Universal scooped the Media Person of the year award for Amul --To think the unthinkable: The Amul Way.
About her win, Johari said, “It is quite unexpected but it feels great. Quite a few of us have been nominated from Ogilvy. So we knew that chances of someone winning from Ogilvy are quite high.” Trivedi said, “I feel great about this award. I wasn’t expecting it as there is tremendous competition and we have already seen that at the Emvies this year.”
The Art Director of the year award was won by Hetal Ajmera of JWT India for SNC Jewels’ Diamond Robberies Planner. The award for the best Copywriter went to Simone Patrick of JWT India for DTC’s Lead India Poised. Amit Sharma of Chrome Pictures Limited won the best movie maker award for Idea-Caste War.
Anuj Singh of Digital Radio (Mumbai) Broadcasting won the business Leader award for Red FM.  The Brand marketer award was bagged by Shivani Suri Dhanda of Reliance Communications for From ‘Power’ brand to ‘Iconic’ brand. Harman Dhillon of Hindustan Unilever Limited for Dove Hair- A ‘Beautiful’ Story: Building 100 crore brand in one year also won in the Best Marketer category.
Best Digital person award was won by Monaz K. Todywalla of Madison Media for Cadbury Dairy Milk- A Twist in the Tale. Shekhar Banerjee of Madison Communications bagged the BIG FM Radio award.
