Vdopia ropes in Debadutta Upadhyaya as VP, India

Vdopia has appointed Debadutta Upadhyaya (pictured) as vice president, India. Upadhyaya joins from Yahoo! India where she was head of sales strategy. At Vdopia she will report to Saurabh Bhatia, chief business officer and co-founder.

Said Bhatia, “We are delighted to have Debadutta joining our senior management team. She is one of the finest internet media sales professionals in the country. Her joining could not have come at a better time for Vdopia, which is geared up for some major product launches in 2010. Her rich domain experience and strategic inputs will add immense value to our overall operations."

Added Upadhyaya, "I am really excited about this opportunity. Vdopia already commands a leadership position in India in the realm of online video advertising. My role would be to assist company in scaling up its operations and drive this leadership position to the next level. Upadhyaya has spent almost six years at Yahoo! India, prior to which she was at Times Now for almost eight years.
