Shantonu Aditya quits Bloomberg UTV

Shantonu Aditya, CEO, Bloomberg UTV has called it quits. Sources from the company have confirmed the news to Campaign India. His next destination is not known yet.

Aditya joined UTV Global Broadcasting in April 2007 and has been instrumental in setting up of the broadcasting business for UTV and the UTV Network.

He started his career with United Breweries in sales and marketing. He subsequently joined Blow Plast and then moved to Mattel Toys India as GM– sales and marketing.  In 2001, he joined Sony Entertainment Television as SVP for distribution and franchise channels - CNBC and AXN. He was responsible for setting up the JV between Sony and Discovery - SET Discovery (the One Alliance). In mid-2005, he moved to Sahara One Media and Entertainment as CEO and was instrumental in launching the Hindi movie channel – Filmy.
