Harley-Davidson Motor Company India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, has announced the appointment of its national leadership team, which will be responsible for driving their sales, marketing and growth strategies in India.

The team will report to Anoop Prakash, managing director. The new team includes Sanjay Tripathi, director of marketing; Rajiv Vohra, director of sales and dealer development; Yogesh Phogat, director of operations and Manish Agarwal, director of finance.

“Since we announced our plans for the Indian market in August, our aim has been to establish a strong team with the relevant market experience, expertise and the passion to build Harley-Davidson as a strong and enduring motorcycle brand in India”, said Anoop Prakash, managing director, Harley-Davidson Motor Company India.

“With in-depth knowledge of the Indian market, this H-D India team brings with it years of experience in brand building, sales and operations. I welcome them to the H-D family and look forward to a long innings with each of them.”

Tripathi has earlier worked with Yamaha, Honda, Piaggio and Royal Enfield. He will lead marketing and brand development activities at the company. In his most recent role at Honda Siel, Rajiv Vohra developed dealer networks, sales training and new initiatives to boost revenues. At Harley-Davidson India, he will be responsible for driving sales and growing a knowledgeable Harley-Davidson dealer network.

Phogat has over 10 years of expertise having worked at multi-national firms including his last appointment at BMW India.
Agarwal worked with Honda Siel over the last 13 years. He will lead the finance department at Harley-Davidson India. In addition, Navneet Banka has been appointed as manager, sales and dealer development.

“As we move towards establishing a strong dealer network and planning our much-awaited India product line-up, it is imperative that we build a strong team.” said Prakash, MD, Harley-Davidson India. “As a 107-year old brand, we realize the value and importance of experience, which is strongly reflected through our newly appointed leadership team. I am positive that this team of passionate and driven individuals will ensure that Indian riders and enthusiasts are given a truly authentic Harley-Davidson experience.”
