It's official: Details of Unilever media AORs around the world

It's official. Mindshare has announced the region-wise details of agencies which will be handling its media AOR business in various parts of the world.

The decision follows the FMCG giant's call for a pitch of its massive media AOR in July last year. The outcome is split between the three incumbent groups of agencies: WPP, Omnicom and Interpublic. While Mindshare retains the business in India, Thailand, US and Canada, UK, Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain and Nordics, IPG’s Initiative Media will handle the Mexico, Columbia, Argentina and Russia. Media Direction has won the Unilever business for Poland. Omnicom Media Group’s PHD will handle the business in China. (see table below)

Laura Klauberg, Unilever Vice President Global Media (pictured), said in a press statement, "We are extremely pleased with the outstanding portfolio of agencies that will be working on our behalf around the world. The outcome of the review further strengthens Unilever’s position as a leading marketing organisation, and will allow us to reach even more consumers in more effective ways."

She further added, "As we increasingly make use of digital and social media, we are confident that we have the best agency partners to help us engage in new ways with the two billion consumers whose lives we touch. In addition, greater alignment within our key country clusters will contribute to achieving exceptional results for our business in an increasingly complex and fragmented media environment."
