Dentsu Impact starts operations in Bengaluru

Ropes in Montu Sangha to head business, Amish Sabharwal for creative and elevates Krittika Chakraborty as head of strategy

Dentsu Impact, the Gurugram headquartered agency, has expanded its offerings to open a Bengaluru office.  
 
Montu Sangha has been roped in to head business while Amish Sabharwal joins to head creative. Krittika Chakraborty has been elevated to head strategy the agency. 
 
The trio will handle the existing business of the office that includes Ikea and also look at new client acquisitions.
 
Sangha joins from GE Healthcare. She was the South Asia lead for advertising and promotions. In a career spanning 14 years she has also worked with HP, Unilever and ITC Foods. 
 
She said, “I am very excited and look forward to my new role at Dentsu Impact, Bengaluru. It is a great opportunity to partner with an iconic global brand like Ikea for their successful launch in India - a key market for them. In the coming months, my focus will also be on identifying new areas of growth for Bangalore operations and to build a team that can offer a bouquet of services in the coming years.”
 
Sabharwal rejoins the agency after a stint with J Walter Thompson. He has also worked with McCann Worldgroup India.
 
He said, "Ikea is not just another brand. It’s a culture. And it is great to be involved in scripting the India Chapter after being an integral part of the pitch team. Both Montu and Krittika are great professionals and human beings to work with, and we will make sure that the impact is both heard and seen. I really thank Amit and Soumitra for the faith that they have shown in us.”
 
Chakraborty has been with Dentsu Impact for six years. She was senior planning director at the agency prior. 
 
She said, “It is a great opportunity and responsibility that I have been entrusted with and I am super excited to explore a new market and new possibilities for Dentsu Impact. Ikea, of course is top priority, and having led the strategic thinking on it right from the pitch stage, I am looking forward to launching and growing this iconic brand in India.”
 
Amit Wadhwa, president – Dentsu Impact and Soumitra Karnik, Chief Creative officer - Dentsu Impact ,said, “We have picked the best talent from inside and outside our organisation to take care of our Bengaluru operations and Ikea is a very important part of this. We are sure that with Montu, Amish and Krittika at the helm, we will build a strong statement in the market.”
