With six Golds and four Silvers, Stark Communication was adjudged ‘Agency of the Year’ for the third straight year at the Big Bang Awards 2013 organised by the Ad Club Bangalore. The awards were presented on 20 September.
Maxus bagged 10 Golds, 12 Silvers and 11 Bronzes to take home the ‘Media Agency of the Year’, ‘Mobile Agency of the Year’ and ‘Digital Agency of the Year’ titles.
Contract Advertising won the Ayaz Peerbhoy Trophy for ‘Campaign of the Year’, for ‘Jockey or nothing’. Nirvana Films was adjudged ‘Production House of the Year’. Nokia won the ‘Client of the Year’, with wins across categories.
On the response to this year's awards, Arvind Kumar, executive director, The Advertising Club, Bangalore, noted that a lot of small agencies from across India were able to send in their entries as the judging process was online. He said, “Since we didn’t have ample time to market awards to overseas market, we could not get entries outside India. In the coming year, we are certainly planning tap into Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Sri Lanka’’.
This year the Club received over 900 entries across 92 categories from 78 creative, media, digital, mobile, healthcare and PR agencies.
