MMGB: World's Talking About: Unicorns

Watch the film conceptualised by BETC here

In advertising, it’s occasionally legitimate use of one’s time and client’s money, to discuss the oddest things: what unicorn bollocks should look like, for instance. BETC Paris had that meeting when creating a new spot for Canal+.

It celebrates the TV channel’s inventive scriptwriters and takes place on Noah’s Ark, explaining why unicorns became extinct.

The ad was directed by Matthijs van Heijningen, who also shot 'Bear' and 'Closet' for Canal+. In case you’re wondering how the testicle talk ended, Stéphane Xiberras, the chief creative officer and president of BETC Paris, said they canned the idea of using furry balls and opted for "a sort of sobriety".
