GroupM elevates Tushar Vyas to CSO role; ropes in former Web18 CEO Lakshmi Narasimhan as chief growth officer
GroupM has announced three senior-level changes, in line with the vision 'to create a future ready organisation'.
 
Managing partner Tushar Vyas, who was heading GroupM Interaction, the digital media arm of GroupM, has been promoted to the role of chief strategy officer of GroupM South Asia. 
 
Former Web18 CEO Lakshmi Narasimhan has been appointed chief growth officer for South Asia. Narasimhan will take charge of the media partnerships and digital teams. With this appointment, GroupM has merged the erstwhile CTG (Central Trading Group) with the GroupM digital platforms. Narasimhan has also worked with Mindshare Fulcrum and GroupM in past assignments. 
 
Sridhar Ramasubramanian, chief financial officer is now the chief operating officer of GroupM South Asia. Besides India, Ramasubramanian will also manage the markets of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan, whose GroupM CEOs will now report to him. 
 
Vyas, Narasimhan and Ramasubramanian will report to CVL Srinivas, CEO, GroupM South Asia. The current agency heads and specialist unit heads of GroupM will also continue reporting to Srinivas. 
 
Srinivas said, “We recast our growth plans in early 2013 with an organisational transformation program. This helped us scale new peaks with 2014 being perhaps our best year till date.
