Suresh Menon lists his favourite gadgets thus: his ‘main phone’ Samsung Galaxy Note 2, a BlackBerry to check mails on, a Sony Vaio laptop (he loves the sound), his refrigerator (the doors of which he uses quite often), air conditioner (which works and gives optimum cooling) and the (extremely useful) water pipes!
When it comes to cars, Menon owns a Mercedes E250 which has a great stock sound system , but his love for SUVs makes him aspire to own a Land Rover or a Mitsubishi Pajero. His favourite holiday destination is Switzerland; he visited the country as recently as July 2014 for a vacation with his family.
His book recommendation is one for every married man and is written by Jose Covaco. It’s called ‘Ladies, Please!’ and according to Menon it gives a great insight into what happens with relationships. He’s all praise for the book and the writer, and wants someone to make a film on the book. He tried his luck with Covaco by offering him a shagun of Rs 101 (as a signing amount), but Covaco refused that, he muses.
With respect to watches, even though he thinks his cell phone is sufficient to ‘watch the time’, he owns an Omega Seamaster. Someone told him to buy it because George Clooney wears it, and so he went ahead and bought it (on EMIs). The first watch he bought is the HMT Janta. And his favourite perfume? Dunhill’s range of Desire Blue.
When it comes to fashion, he looks for the cheapest plays with ones offering the maximum discounts, confesses the candid Menon.
