Things They Like: Ekalavya Bhattacharya

Considering that Ekalavya Bhattacharya is the digital head for MTV India, his picks for favorite gadgets fit perfectly with the fun image the brand has always exuded. He quips that the Xbox is his must have gadget in office, the slide changer is a winner when it comes to industry events and a ‘cool music system’ for private parties.

His choice of clothing, irrespective of the event, remains a good pair of jeans and a shirt. He isn’t very picky about the brand he buys as long as they look good. Bhattacharya does have black as his colour preference for shirts.

He prefers Issey Miyake fragrances. His choice of cuisine is Italian and Café Mezzuna in Pune is the current favorite place to have it. But the choice of eatery will always keep changing, he explains.

Breaking Bad is a series that he enjoyed a lot. In keeping with his preference for the digital platform, much of his buying happens online via Flipkart.  He prefers a Citizen Ecodrive as his time keeper. C & J Clarks is his one stop shop for footwear. Bhattacharya would be more than happy to have a Bugatti Veyron in his garage.

His favourite holiday destination is Goa, though ‘nothing beats’ his recent trip a few months ago to Bali with his mom for her 55th birthday. “We went trekking, saw the sunrise from a great height, went scuba diving and basically had an adventure-filled trip,” he reminisces.
