Public relations firm Weber Shandwick has strengthened its Indian leadership team by elevating former MD Atul Ahluwalia to the position of vice-chairman. Dilip Yadav, former deputy MD, has been promoted to the position of MD – client services. Additionally, he has also been appointed MD of Creation - Weber Shandwick’s conflict shop in India.
Carolina Bajaj has been brought on board as deputy managing director and will also head Mumbai and Bangalore operations.
Prior to this, Bajaj was director (West) and national corporate practice lead at Edelman India. She has more than 14 years of experience in public relations across corporate, aviation, real estate, sports, tourism and consumer sectors, informed an agency statement.
Apart from reporting to Ahluwalia, Yadav will also report to Baxter Jolly, (vice chairman, Asia Pacific) for his client services role, and George Coleman (president, Creation Worldwide). Bajaj will report to Ahluwalia, and Jolly, informed the statement.
On the elevations, Tim Sutton, chairman of Weber Shandwick Asia Pacific, said, “Atul continues to deliver strong leadership in India. His new role reflects his stature in the local market. Dilip’s new roles are testament to his supreme aptitude to build strong, successful client relationships.” On Bajaj’s appointment, he said, “We are also delighted to welcome Carolina. She holds all the cards to grow our operations in Mumbai and Bangalore significantly and is a great addition to our India-wide leadership team.”
